Recently, there has be talk about a "replication crisis" in social sciences and life sciences. The talk will investigate the arising issues from the perspective of macroeconomic research. It will show prominent examples of things gone wrong (mostly from Top5 journals), discuss the underlying systemic causes, and outline potential approaches to improve transparency and replicability.
